Friday Night Wine

After 3 weeks of no wine, we have decided to have a bottle tonight. The choice, a 2005 Kirkland Syrah from Columbia Valley. I know, Costco wine is not some spectacular find but we have found they do offer a good everyday wine at the price of a mediocre everyday wine. The 2005 Syrah has a deep purple-red color, blackberry fruit and spicy aroma. Nice flavour and good body with a nice finish. We have had this previously and had been cellaring this for a few years. It was a favourite of ours then and just as good as we remember.
